We Are All Connected – By Food.
It's interesting that the cost of fresh food in the USA has risen 40% in the last 30 years while the price of processed food has gone down 40% . A Place at the Table is a documentary by film makers' Kristi Jacobson and Lori Silverbush that takes on the underreported hunger/nutrition epidemic in this country. They also posit this problem is imminently solvable, and that at one time in this country it had been solved. "If we don't change the direction we're heading, this generation will be the first to live sicker and die younger than their parents' generation," testifies a congressional committee member in the film.
